East Village & Alphabet City
If you live between St. Marks and 14th, or anywhere on the Avenues, this is your facility.
Apartment Storage • NYC
Your apartment wasn't built for everything you own.
Urban Stash is apartment storage for NYC — month-to-month units starting at $80, with app-based access that means no keys, no front desk, and no warehouse across town.
Why It's Its Own Category
A studio in the East Village. A junior one-bedroom in Alphabet City. A pre-war one-bed in Stuy Town with a closet that would be generous in a hotel room. These apartments are what they are — and most of the time, that's the deal you made to live in NYC.
The problem is that life accumulates faster than square footage expands. Apartment storage in NYC usually exists in two forms:
Urban Stash is the other option: neighborhood-scale units, managed entirely from your phone, priced to make sense for what you're actually storing.

How It Works
No paperwork. No key pickup. No staff coordination. The entire process — from choosing your unit to unlocking it on day one — happens on your phone.
Choose your size and move-in date. No credit card required upfront, no deposit.
After booking, you'll receive access to the Urban Stash app — your key to the building entrance and your unit. No hardware to collect, no one to meet.
Tap to unlock the entrance and your unit. That's it.
Manage your billing, access, and account from the same app.
What Actually Ends Up in Our Units
NYC attracts a specific kind of person: creatively ambitious, perpetually busy, and living in an apartment that's smaller than everything they're trying to do. Here's what ends up in our units.
New York has more working musicians per square foot than most cities. When your amp is taking up a third of your bedroom and your bandmates' gear won't fit anywhere, a medium unit near your neighborhood beats a practice space in Bushwick you have to take the L to reach.
Hauling a bike up four flights of a walk-up gets old around the third month. Medium units fit most standard road and city bike frames, with room for helmets, locks, and seasonal gear alongside. No building hallway, no theft risk, no negotiation with a super.
Summer sublets, waiting on a new apartment to open up, gap months between one lease ending and the next starting. A large unit on a month-to-month plan is a cleaner bridge than most moving-company storage — and cheaper than storing everything with a friend.
Canvases, portfolios, materials, and props. Work accumulates faster than shared studio space becomes available. A dry, secure unit near the neighborhood beats leaving work in a space you don't fully control.
The camping gear that comes out twice a year. The boxes from the last move. The holiday decorations and the extra chairs. Small apartment storage in New York isn't always about a crisis — sometimes it's just about being able to breathe in your own apartment again.
FAQ
Building storage, if your building has it, is usually a cage in the basement with limited availability, variable security, and often a waiting list. Urban Stash units are dedicated, individually locked spaces with smart-lock access you control from your phone. No super involved, no sharing a space, and no uncertainty about whether it's your turn.

The same facility also covers the Lower East Side — Chinatown, Two Bridges, NoHo, and Nolita.
