24 Avenue B • East Village

Self storage in the East Village

The East Village packs more life into a square block than most cities manage in a zip code. Your apartment reflects that — which is exactly why you're here. We're on Avenue B, right in the middle of it all.

  • Walk from F at 2nd Ave or L at 1st/3rd Ave
  • Access 6AM–12AM daily
  • No keys — just your phone
  • From $80/month

Why Avenue B

Storage that fits the neighborhood — not a warehouse district

The East Village has always been a place where people own more than their apartment can hold. The apartments on 2nd Street, 9th Street, and Avenue A are full of character and short on square footage — a trade-off that generations of EV residents have made without complaint, until the guitar collection, the camping gear, and the boxes from the last move started making it hard to breathe.

Our Avenue B location sits at 194 East 2nd Street, at the corner of two of the most lived-in blocks in the neighborhood. You're a short walk from the F train at 2nd Avenue or the L at 1st or 3rd Avenue, which means getting here doesn't require rearranging your day. Walk over after work, swing by on a Sunday morning before brunch on 7th Street, or stop in late evening after a show at Bowery Electric.

This isn't a facility at the end of a long hallway in a commercial building across town. It's a neighborhood storage option designed around how East Village renters, creatives, and long-timers actually live.

Serving Your Block

Storage for the whole east side of Manhattan

Avenue B sits near the center of a dense, walkable cluster of neighborhoods — all of them full of small apartments and people who need more room.

East Village

From St. Marks to 14th, from 3rd Ave to Avenue D — the EV's mix of pre-war walk-ups and converted buildings keeps apartments tight and character high. Storage on Avenue B is as local as it gets.

📍 ~5–12 min walk from most of EV

Alphabet City

Avenues A through D are some of the most densely residential blocks in Manhattan. Residents of Loisaida and the Avenues are a literal short walk to 24 Avenue B — no subway required.

📍 ~3–8 min walk from Avenues A–D

Stuy Town & Peter Cooper

Stuyvesant Town apartments are famously limited in storage. Our Avenue B facility is less than a 10-minute walk from the Oval, giving Stuy Town renters a real neighborhood option for the overflow.

📍 ~10 min walk from Stuy Town

Gramercy & Kips Bay

Gramercy Park and Kips Bay buildings vary widely in storage — a self storage unit near Gramercy on Avenue B is an easy walk east, or a short ride on the 6 to Astor Place or 23rd St.

📍 ~15 min walk or 1 subway stop

NoHo

NoHo lofts sound spacious until you actually try to live in one. Residents between Bleecker and Houston can reach 24 Avenue B easily — the one Urban Stash location, serving the East Village and Lower East Side alike.

Why People Store Here

Made for how East Village residents actually live

The area attracts a specific kind of person: creatively ambitious, perpetually busy, living in an apartment that's smaller than their life. Here's what ends up in our units.

Musicians & Performers

The East Village has more musicians per square foot than most cities. Instruments, amps, cables, PA gear. Store between gigs or rehearsals without a trip to a practice space in Bushwick.

Bikes & Outdoor Gear

Hauling a bike up four flights of a walk-up gets old fast. Our medium units fit most bike frames, plus room for helmets, locks, and seasonal gear. No building hallway, no theft risk, no drama.

Between Leases & Subletting

Whether you're subletting for the summer, between apartments or waiting on a new place to open up, a short-term large unit is a better bridge than a moving company's storage fee.

Artists & Makers

Canvases, supplies, portfolio work, props, and materials accumulate fast. A dry, secure storage unit near your neighborhood beats leaving work in a shared studio — and costs a lot less.
